Sulas Pi Europe - Part 2 (Oxford)

2nd Day in England

We went to University of Oxford. Typical pensyarah sangat, whahahahah. Ko nak jugak cari university kan, dah mcm nak buat benchmarking.

From London to Oxford, dalam 2 jam jugak by bus. And, video ni bukti kebisingan mat black yg duduk dekat kitorg. Bising giler! Rasa nak penampor je -_-

Sampai je, terus cari toilet. Cannot tahan wei....
Dah almost nak masuk church cari toilet, bwhaahahah. Last jumpa perempuan ni, tanya dia kat mana toilet. Dia suruh pergi je kat Cafe Nero, gi bawah ada toilet. Alhamdulillah...legaaa

Lepas tu baru boleh menikmati pemandangan. Memang mcm Hogwarts, hehehehe.

Masa kitorg datang ni hari Jumaat, pastu mcm ramai giler manusia. Rupanya hari tu adalah Oxford's Open Day. Lucky giler!!

Kawasan campus dia best giler kot. Tu pasal la diorg yg study kat sini boleh fokus belajar je. Everything dah ada dalam ni. Dari shopping complex, cafe, everything la. Dia mcm small town.

Ni mcm mall paling besar. Dalam ni ada TKmax jugak *tpt org beli brg murah. Primark pun ada. Macam2 la ada....memang students xyah keluar langsung kot!

Ada sorang mamat ni, nampak patung2 philosophers ni.. "socrates, socrates and socrates". Sabo je.

Ni adalah muzium kat dalam Oxford University. Kau rasa???? Diorg siap ada muzium sendiri, and this is not the only one. Kitorg jalan kaki je, ikut mana nak sampai.

Waktu dalam ni, ada budak2 sekolah rendah kot. Macam kena fill up worksheet by referring to exhibits dalam muzium. Comel sgt!

Plan asal nak cari mcm tempat comel sket nak lunch. Yana dah bekalkan kitorg lunch, so takyah pikir nak makan apa. Last2 jumpa je bench terus makan. At the same time, sambil tengok orang tgh berkumpul nak pergi demo.

Ni ada group lagi nak join demo. Climate change uols!

Oleh sebab time kitorg jalan tu nampak mcm students yg pegang banner/pamplet utk program/kursus masing2, so kitorg amik la peluang masuk in on of the school. Time ni boleh nampak la ada few Malaysians. Ada yg nampak bergambar dgn parents. Untung sungguh!

Since it was Open Day, so diorg mcm bukak college utk org datang tgk. Oleh sebab muka kami2 ni masih muda, nampak mcm nak sambung belajar kan, so masuk jeee.

Ni dewan makan, hehehehe. Dia ada sediakan donut, tapi segan pulak, wkaakakakaka

Jalan2 and then ternampak church ni. Suka betul aku masuk church, whahahaahaha. Church diorg cantik2 kot, so masuk jela kan. Sebab nampak ada orang dekat atas tower tu.

So kitorg pun masuklah, nak tgk mcm mana nak naik tower tu. Kena bayar, kitorg tak kisah pasal bayar. Tapi sebab kena tunggu lama jugak utk turn beli tiket and naik ke atas. So kensel, and keluar je.

Ingat nak lepak minum kopi, cafe pun ramai giler manusia. So kensel jugak....plan nak balik je.
Jalan keluar balik, pergi dekat tempat kitorg turun bas tadi. Amik the same bus and went back to London. Kitorg tak berenti kt Victoria dah sebab nak pi Oxford's street utk SHOPPING!

Bas berhenti dekat Marble Arch, amik train ke Oxford's street.
Oleh sebab aku dah ada target nak beli apa, terus gi TK Max je. Beli handbags utk diri sendiri, mak and adik. Cukup!

Oleh sebab dah petang, Yana kata dia nak join kitorg makan. So dari TKMax tu, jalan kaki pi cari Selfridges. Tujuannya nak experience English tea gitewwww *ish geli pulak, bwahahah

Beratur nak masuk Dolly's ni bukan main lama! Sabo jeee...Dalam 45 min kot. Selfridges ni mcm Harrods je aku tengok. Cafe ni pun ramai non-local.

Layan la scones dia ni! Hahahahah...sedaplah. Tapi Rai punya Victoria sponge cake tu manis gilerrr....so basically kek dia tak sedap.

Waktu dah siap tea session ni, cakap dgn diorg rasa penat giler. Tapi souvenir tak beli lagi, so ingat nak beli area2 Oxford's street tu je.
Sekali tengok harga mmg menangis gak la...hahahahah. Yana dah cakap, betul ke nak beli.
Tiba2 je rasa mcm dah tak penat **hahhaha..drama ko sulas
So kitorg decided utk pergi Bayswater, plan malam semalam yang tak jadi tu. So dengan bwk handbags 3 bijik yg aku beli kat TKMax tu....naik lah bas dua bijik baru sampai tempat nak beli souvenir.

Bertapa la jugak kat kedai India tu beli tshirt. Syiok giler beli, habis cash malam tu! kekekekke
Ada duit spare lagi...tapi malam tu kira habis la beli tshirt utk anak2 sedare yg 19 org tu, ahhahaha


So kira basic things kat London dah covered, gituu. Nak buat apa sangat kan dalam 2 hari je.
Alhamdulillah...balik rumah, and kena kemas sbb esok dah flight nak ke Dublin.

Sulas Pi Europe - Part 1 (London)

Lama sungguh tak tulis pasal travel. Dulu travel sikit pun nak tulis, tapi sekarang travel lama2, tulisnya langsung tarak. Not a good practice, sebab nanti bertahun-tahun selepas itu, blog ni jugak yang ko sendiri baca. Yela, nak tulis with pen and papers takut hilang pulak. Kat sini rasenye tak hilang, bwahahahah. Once on the web, it will be forevaaaa.

For a start, I need to upload the pictures with some captions. At least buat few drafts with pictures sementara still ingat, publish tu entah la bila.

Here goes.

Pencarian jacket. Dari MidValley ke Melawati Mall. Jacket ni buat aku nampak kurus, LOL. Tak beli sebab kalau hujan, sure lencun. Tak sesuai for Irish weather.

Luckily Fadz bagi socks dengan banyaknya! 

Dah lama tak pack baju utk  12 days. Dan takde istilah basuh baju, jadi kena bawak baju secukupnya.

Water pouch utk toilet, water bottle utk minum. Asam tu (mahal rupanya...RM28 utk 500gm), ada org dekat Ireland mengidam, wakaakka.

 Waktu pergi...mcm ni lah rupa checked in bag. Waktu balik, dia beranak sudah! Most of the shopping was done in London, so wheeled bag tu tinggal dkt London, pastu angkut 10kg of bagpack tu ke Ireland, and Poland.

Flight Oman Air, 9.40am, Airbus A332. Jerebu teruk, putih je KLIA. Amik grab dari Taman Melati pukul 5.00am.

Flight to Muscat took about 6hr 45min. Sampai Muscat for transit at about 12.15PM. Panas gilerrrrrrr. Aircond dalam airport pun tak berasa sangat. DM Watai dekat IG, and dia bgtau yg 43 degrees celcius is nyaman! Whatt??!! Okla...kena gi negara sebelah sini bila winter je kot.

Flight to London at 2.30PM, Boeing 787-9. So ada masa untuk solat siap2, dan look around the airport. Menyesal giler tak makan siap2 sebab food dalam flight memang tak sedap, whahahaha.  

Ok, ni tengah jakun dengan flight window dia, kekekek. Instead of normal shutter kita tarik ke bawah, dia mcm transition lense tu....bila panas dia jadi makin gelap. Cuma ni can be controlled electronically. Bagus, sebab kita still boleh tgk kat luar, even tho the light was blinding!

Touch down dekat Heathrow Terminal 4 at about 7.15PM, time senja. Sesungguhnya, maybe this is my first and last time amik flight yg pi Heathrow. Ramai giler nak mampos umat manusia, almost 2 hours beratur nak lepas immigration. Sampai airport, ada Yana, kawan Rai yg tunggu and belikan Oyster card (mcm Touch n Go kita la utk transportation around London). Setelah tukar few trains and bus, sampailah rumah dia dekat Battersea Park, Turpin house.

Sampai kat rumah, Yana terus masak nasik and telur masak sweet sour. Ya Allah, punya bersyukur sebab lapar ya ampun!

Tidur ok je malam tu, sebab badan pun penat. Bangun pagi subuh and caught the sunrise. Yana cakap, kalau building kotak sebelah kiri tu takde, boleh nampak Tower Bridge kot, ke London Eye. Entah..tapi the square building memang blocked the view.

 Naik bas pergi area Victoria, sebab plan untuk jalan2 around London je hari ni. Sandwich and coffee, we are good to go!

Baju pink tu tuan rumah, Illiana a.k.a. Dia postdoc researcher dekat University of Surrey. Walaupun jauh dari tempat keje, tapi dia kata sebab dah biasa duduk dekat Battersea Park tu. Dah boleh apply PR dia ni sebab dah kerja more than 10 yrs. She did her phd dekat Imperial College, lepas tu terus duduk London.

1st place, Buckingham Palace. Ramai nauuuu manusia, and London panas! hahahahhaha... Tapi waktu keluar pagi tu sejuk je....tapi dah jalan2, mmg bukak la jacket.

 What tourist do best? Posing selagi boleh. Masa ni ok la lagi.... *damn jetlag!

Yana went to work, kitorg plan mmg jalan kaki selagi larat. So takde refer apa2 plan, just walk and walk and walk.  

We walked through St. James Park. London ada banyak sangat park, so kita pergi jela mana2.

This park is at Central London.

Statue of Robert Clive. Of course waktu aku amik gambar aku xtau pun apa dia ni. Tengah tulis ni baru cari info, wkaakkakaka. Nah from wiki:

Westminster Abbey. Tak masuk, cuma tengok orang beratur untuk masuk je :p

 Palace of Westminster. 

 The Palace of Westminster serves as the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Commonly known as the Houses of Parliament after its occupants, the Palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London, England.
Victoria Tower and the House of Lords is on the left. The Clock Tower of Big Ben and the House of Commons is on the right. 

Banyak yg tengah under renovations/repair, hence lots of scaffoldings.

 We started our walk along River Thames from this point, and cross the river at Millenium Bridge, and cross back at Tower Bridge. Jauh sebenarnya! Hahahahahahha

Again, at this point pun ada bau hancing ok! Serabut betul -_- Agaknya main pancut je kat mana2 dinding yang ada, euuuwwww

 Dan kitorg nampak orang jalan beramai-ramai, hahahaha. A tourist do what a tourist needs to do! Kitorang follow je the crowd without knowing jalan tu nak gi mana, kikiiii.

 We went to Borough Market! Ni namanya tak sengaja, hahahha. 

Kedai roti awesome!

 Awat sayur ni cantik sangat, boleh buat hand bouquet nak bersanding, wakkakakaka

Aku tak boleh imagine macam mana Chicken Laksa tu....siap with Jasmine Rice?!! Ape benda lah mat salleh ni masak, ishhhh

 Banyak benda menarik kat market ni. Xtau la hari2 ada ke apa...

Jalan je sampai keluar, lepas tu tengok signboard. Selagi kau pandai baca, insyallah tak sesat, mihmihmih :p

 Nampak tak pacman kuning pakai post-it notes kat tingkap tu? Ihiksss....comel

London Bridge, yang kelihatannya biasa-biasa sahaja :p Famous sebab the first bridge opened in London, and of course according to lagu London Bridge, jambatan sudah roboh dan rebuilt, roboh lagi dan rebuilt.

Layan sungguh donut ni! 3 pound for a donut, you better be good! And Alhamdulillah it tasted divine.....ehmmmmm *terasa dekat tekak. Again, we stumbled upon this donut pun sebab nampak org beli banyak2. Luckily takdelah ramai sangat org beratur, and we took a good spot to enjoy it slowly ^__^

 Sambil makan donut, ada bunyi warning...rupanya Tower Bridge tu tengah nak turun.

 Jalan lagi. This side is called More London riverside (duhhhh...gitu je korang bagi nama).
Kat sini kitorg check London map, and tube (amik dekat airport waktu tengah beratur berjam2 tu). Check nearest tube station nak gi muzium. GPS? what GPS? :p

 

Dah berjalan bagai nak rak, masa untuk naik tube. Kitorg nak pi muzium pulak.

 Natural History Museum. Free entrance.

I LOVE MUSEUM! London ada banyak giler muzium, tapi of course la datang sekejap je, ko sibuk nak pi semua muzium dah kenapa. Muzium dia free, and ada free WiFi. What's not to love, bwahhahaha.

Dah connected to the wretched world through internet, singa di depan mata pun dah tak nampak, bwahahahahha.

 We spent quite sometimes dalam ni, and sebenarnya time ni dah rasa mcm jalan terapung-apung je. Damn you jetlag!

 

We experienced 'earthquake' in the museum. Tak cukup sekali, kitorg stay for the 2nd demonstration, hahahahha. Lepas kena gegar2, makin teruk mengantuk aku, bongok betul! hahahah

Lepas pi toilet elok dekat muzium (never ever use public toilets in London, bluekkk), ingat nak pi cari tempat solat dekat Imperial College. Sekali tak jumpa. Last2 masuk muzium balik, amik wuduk pastu solat.

Dah solat tenang sket nak berjalan. Masa ni kitorg tak beli simcard lagi, and map.me offline utk London tak download (Ireland je ada). Kitorang nak pi Harrods, so cara paling selamat dan logik adalah follow the crowds. The first crowd yg kitorg follow, ended up dekat rumah diorg, kwakakkakaak.

 Lepas tu nampak 2nd crowd, follow elok2, alhamdulillah sampai kat Harrods. Before gi Harrods, kitorg makan dulu. Jumpa Paul cafe, makan sandwich apa ntah and coffee. 

Lepas tu beli simcard dekat Vodafone. Not bad jugak harga dia, murah. For 10 pound, ko dapat 3GB data (with extra 3GB, yg mana rasenye kitorg pakai tak sampai 2GB pun),  250 min call, unlimited texts. Simcard ni boleh pakai kat semua tpt kitorg gi, Ireland and Poland. Taktaulah valid berapa lama.

Kat Harrods, bersepah2 arab kat sini...hoho.  

Believe me, I did not buy anything. Not a single thing! Semuanya sebab penat giler, and jetlag strike me bad. Really bad.
Rai yg dah 5 kali gi London beli kopi, souvenir etc. Aku takde nafsu membeli langsung time ni.

 Mesti sedap benda ni....tapi tula... Penat yg sungguh melenyekkan rasa nak beli barang.

Lepas Harrods, naik bas, and balik. The initial plan adalah, untuk balik, makan dan keluar semula gi Bayswater untuk beli souvenir. Sekali....aku bagitau diorg, korang nak gi, gi. Makcik dah tak larat, bwahhahahaha. So, since tak jadi keluar, kitorg plan untuk esok. Initially, plan nak gi Harry Potter studio. Tiket tu boleh beli online, cuma masalah dia adalah nak pergi ke studio tu agak jauh la....trains and busses etc. Last2, decided utk ke Oxford University :p 

Boleh la...layankan aje. So beli tiket bas online (18 pound for return ticket).
